Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Statement

Within its Mission to TEACH, INSPIRE, & CONNECT; CCGS is committed to promoting an environment and culture that is understanding and accepting of all people including the differences that make each of us unique.
These differences encompass but are not limited to race, color, ethnicity, national origin, language, gender, age, religion, personality, disability, education, professional / personal experiences, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, veteran status, and family structure. CCGS believes in treating people based on what they need to succeed, celebrates multiple approaches and points of view, and strives to make everyone feel empowered to share their experience and ideas. CCGS strives for all employees, students and their families, artists, performers, and affiliates to feel welcomed, valued, respected, appreciated, and free to be their authentic selves.

Together, as a community, we impact the present and lay the foundation for a future where individuals experience the opportunity to reach their full potential. We are committed to being honest and transparent about where we are in our DEI journey as an organization, and to continuing to learn, do better, and provide service to the community.

While we do our best to foster an environment of inclusivity and accessibility, we understand that there are needs that we have not met. The best way for us to learn, adapt, and implement proper practices or protocols to meet the needs of those we serve is to be open and honest with ourselves, students, families, donors, patrons, etc. Which is why we are using our platforms to allow for open and honest communication.

If you have suggestions, questions, or concerns about our performance as related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion please contact our 504 Coordinator Jon Poor at jon@cleguitar.org.
