This teacher training workshop is presented in collaboration with the expert music educators and trainers of Austin Classical Guitar and GuitarCurriculum.com, featuring active learning and practice teaching. Cleveland Classical Guitar Society is so excited to bring this 3-day guitar workshop to the Cleveland area hosted by John Carroll University in University Heights, OH. Tracks are available for classroom music teachers who would like to add guitar to their repertoire (no previous guitar experience necessary) and for professional or aspiring professional guitarists who would like to expand their classroom training.

This event will be held at John Carroll University (housing options available) in University Heights, OH. All registrants will receive a packet in June with more information, including a full schedule. Space is limited so please register soon!
Training will focus on classroom guitar teaching for medium to large groups. Topics will include curriculum, repertoire, guitar essentials, conducting, rehearsal techniques, and more. A limited number of guitars are available for attendees who don’t have their own.

The video above shows the finale of the 2016 Austin training workshop performance, concluding 3 days of guitar training for music educators. This workshop is offered annually in Austin, TX, but this will be the first year this opportunity is offered in Cleveland, OH.
